Children's Parade

Sponsored by:  Lou Ellyn Helman in Ron's memory

A fun event to participate in and to watch, the Children's Parade is sure to bring smiles to all.  Children decorate a wagon, a bike or a stroller (no motorized vehicles) or dress in strawberry-themed costumes and signs and walk through the pavilion for the crowd to watch.   Rain or shine, participants all get ribbons and a small gift and top entrants get cash prizes.   It's short, but sweet, hectic but fun!

There is no pre-registration, but parents must check in with their children prior to the start.   Numbers will be issued for identification.   Unlike a normal parade, groups will parade around separately and will stop in front of the judges to be viewed.  Winners in each category will be announced immediately after the parade.  All first place winners will be considered for the overall grand prize.  We ask that the winning entrants stick around for group photos following the event.

A big THANK YOU to the Michigan Tech Women's Basketball team who serve as judges for the event.
