One of these intelligent, driven and lovely young women will be crowned as this year's Copper Country Strawberry Festival Queen!   The Saturday evening event will allow us to get to know the candidates through their introductions, answers to two questions (the first being the same for each girl, and the second one that is randomly picked from a list of many).   Participants were also required to attend and introduce themselves at a Lions club meeting, participate in strawberry cleaning, have private interviews with the judging team and ride in the Strawberry Festival parade.  This evening gown competition concludes with the crowning of the queen, her first attendant and Miss Congeniality (chosen by the girls themselves).    The Festival queen not only gets the crown but also a scholarship as well!

While waiting for the judges final decisions, these contestants will also help to showcase the items up for bid at the Strawberry Auction.   Fresh berries, jams, cakes, cookies and many other strawberry-themed items will be auctioned off to raise funds that the Lions Club donates locally.   Support the candidates and a great cause by bidding on some delicious items while you wait!
